Looking for easy to get along with mature people 30'-50's team players with the ability to learn songs quickly and play them well. Improvisation is excellent as I want to have an original edge to the cover songs. I have rehearsal space, a comfortable bonus room in my home. as well as recording capabilities. Seeking gigs within 5 miles of I-95/Hollywood Blvd. but will consider traveling further if compensation is adequate. I play guitar to accompany myself - my music is country/folk/blues style. I'm most interested in settings which are NOT bars, although I won't turn down a bar... just prefer coffee house, restaurant, private party or other venue which does not serve alcohol. $25/hour O.B.O. does not include setup/teardown time (no charge for that). Will consider playing (unamplified) for tips only in front of establishment with high foot-traffic such as at the beach or in a shopping plaza. I have my own P.A. today, but it's up for sale if I don't find a gig.

We're seeking a non-douchbag singer to front our cover band.
The requirements are:
-You must be a singer
-You must not be a douchebag
-You must speak English
-You must be <30 years old, or not look like you could be our dad.
-You must be dedicated to rehearsal and gigs
-Playing guitar or keyboards is a plus

We have a funky rock vibe going on, and need people to compliment that. We need a singer, preferably one that can play guitar and/or keyboard.

"The Ultimate Acoustic Tribute to Black Sabbath" is seeking a bassist. The band takes the vintage 1970s Black Sabbath material and plays it in a very unique acoustic / semi-acoustic, female-fronted format. Lots of Sabbath fans love it, and it's a ton of fun to do gigs with and even get paid. The frontperson of the band has recently relocated to this area from NY/NJ. There are lots of good musicians out there who like Sabbath, but I am looking for people who will fit this project specifically. Please only respond to this ad if:

1) You genuinely like the unplugged idea.
2) You genuinely love the Black Sabbath 1970-78 material and can already play many of these songs well, or are willing and able to learn the songs on your own time.
3) You should either have an electric bass or a decent-sounding acoustic bass.
4) You are able and willing to rehearse once a week or so, at least until the live set has been established.
5) You are able and willing to have some participation in the gig-booking process.

8) good performers that are comfortable in a live environment

Working cover band needs a good experienced lead singer/frontman asap! You must play some rhythm guitar or keys, not on every song, ( you can if you want to! ), just the ones that need another instrument. As long as you know you'll be singing most of the setlist. Gigs available.
