This position requires a valid Class (E) drivers license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with the Departments Drivers Record Requirements Policy. An unacceptable driving record is defined as any of the following:
:three (3) or more moving violations in the past 3 years that accumulate 3 or more points per violation;
:any 2 convictions of reckless driving in the past 3 years;
:a suspension or revocation of the drivers license for moving violations in the past 3 years; and
4. a suspension or revocation for refusal to take a sobriety test, or any suspension or revocation for a DUI conviction in the past 4 years

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Monitors, participates and coordinates the utility phase of pre:construction and construction activities. Reviews plans focusing on potential utility conflicts. Process field inspections to review utility permits to identify technical issues and provide resolution of construction problems on behalf of the Department. Assists in the preparation of and attends utility pre:construction meetings and utility handoff meetings. Expedites resolution of construction utility conflicts issues.
Performs constructability reviews at the field worksite during phase reviews for errors and omissions in accordance with the district and resident guidelines, Plans Preparation Manual and Construction Project Administration Manual (CPAM). Reviews plans for biddability to establish whether a contractor can submit a competitive bid based on provided plans and specifications. Performs field reviews to verify design information. Provides written comments to designers by the due date.
Maintains the State/District website and database information that links utility relocation schedule, utility as:builts, contractors Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule, design plans, utility matrix, relocation activities by project and all work for a given construction company. Database automatically reflects due dates to the utility companies as to when utilities need to be relocated.
