The Director of Scheduling, reporting to the Regional Support Center SVP is responsible for leading the implementation of the Physician Services scheduling function. Working alongside our National VP of Scheduling the Director of Scheduling will implement Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to all scheduler training and development, and usage of scheduling practices and systems. The ideal candidate will oversee analysis and management of labor costs, labor technology solutions, statistical data analysis and management of departmental staff. Directs the scheduling and payroll of clinicians across all business lines

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Work with RSC SVP and Nat'l VP of Scheduling to assist in establishing scheduling goals and managing provider and site scheduling expectations

* Build and lead a team around centralized scheduling

* Implement educational programs to promote the development of scheduling personnel in Regional Service Center

* Investigate, recommend, and operationalize strategic initiatives and programs in conjunction with the Nat'l VP of Scheduling and the RSC SVP. Provide strategic planning and support for scheduling processes in RSC

* Track benchmarks to assess outcomes (scheduling metrics). Compile and analyze costs on \"increased comp\" and other relevant metrics. Track metrics monthly to optimize number of providers scheduled and to minimize payroll issues due to scheduling inaccuracies.

* Monitor and escalate urgent scheduling issues contributing to increased comp and other client and provider dis-satisfiers. Work with RSC SVP and Nat'l VP of Scheduling on implementing solutions.

* Critically review and analyze current scheduling and payroll practices and procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations

* Works to integrate newly acquired groups into the scheduling team and standardize practices

* Demonstrate a solid understanding of workforce tools (Kronos, Lawson, QGenda, and other labor applications)

* Demonstrate the value adding benefits of standard scheduling and payroll process'

* Processing of scheduling and payroll for multi-specialty programs

* Experience documenting process and workflows

* Ability to present summary report data highlight payroll expenses

* Ability to verify integrity of all application changes

* Experience in clinical centralized scheduling environment

* Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with all levels of management and team members

* Very strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

* Other duties as assigned


* Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university and 5 or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's Degree preferred

* Knowledge of the Healthcare industry a plus
