Job Description:/h3:
Under the direct supervision of the Marketing and Sales Director, this position provides administrative and secretarial support for the sales department. In addition to typing, filing, answering calls, and scheduling, this position requires the Administrative Assistant to perform additional duties such as; assisting all non:assigned customers with sales requests, data entry into our EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) system, and to create and maintain sales reports on Excel spreadsheets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer and direct all incoming calls.
Greet, assist and announce all visitors.
Receive and distribute all incoming mail.
Assist the sales team with incoming calls regarding purchases, future purchases and product information.
Complete forms in accordance with company procedures.
Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
Assist with all UPS and FedEx documents as required.
Support the day:to:day activities of the sales department.
Create reports and spreadsheets when requested.
Assist in coordinating all office events such as luncheons and celebrations.
Arrange conference, meeting or travel reservations for all office personnel.
Maintain all hard copy and digital filing systems for the sales department.
Update daily inventory to vendors.
Create and enter Sales Orders into QuickBooks.
Required Education and Experience:
:High School diploma or GED mandatory.
:2: 5 years of experience working in a corporate environment (sales department a plus)
:Intermediate to advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
:Intermediate knowledge of QuickBooks.
:Proficient knowledge of Outlook email.
:Advance Data Entry.
Preferred Education and Experience:
2 or 4:year degree in Business or Marketing.
