The US operation of the Israel Tennis Centers Foundation is the national marketing and fundraising arm that promotes the Israel Tennis Centers in the US and develops its community of supporters.
Administrative and Events Assistant
This is a part:time (32 hours per week) temporary position beginning October to April 2018, compensation is 23:28 per hour based on experience. The position reports to the Vice President of Development based in the Deerfield Beach, FL office. The administrative and events assistant is responsible for all daily components of an integrated, annual fundraising campaign including planning, organizing and implementation of exhibitions, events, mailings and donor projects as determined by the Vice President and Executive Vice President to achieve fiscal years campaign goals. The position includes regional and national offices administrative responsibilities as needed. Duties include:
Administrative responsibility for organizing fundraising exhibitions throughout the country.
Includes:
:Create and manage timeline for the planning and execution of events
:Preparation of Event Collateral in written and email form including save the dates, invitations, posters, advertisements, drafting letters
:Maintaining event registration and data
:Working with volunteer event committees and arranging catering details for events with vendors
:Arranging travel for exhibition teams of children and coach in coordination with Israel office
:Packing and shipping of event materials to locations
:Coordinate setup and registration at events
:Follow up after event (letters to host, committee, etc.)
:Learn donor database system, Raisers Edge, to input gifts
:Mail donor recognition items
:Staff all fundraising activities including exhibitions, parlor meetings, committee meetings and special events in South Florida
:Prepare minutes for committee meetings for distribution to committee
:Contact major synagogues in areas where ITC has had mitzvah projects to arrange for Director of Development to speak with incoming classes of Bnai Mitzvah kids and promote mitzvah projects
:Organize events for parents of mitzvah projects and kids for follow:up and continued involvement in the centers 8. Research and Identification of new prospects
Skills required: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher or other graphics software package; superior phone skills and interpersonal skills; must have excellent writing and organizational skills; multi:tasking a must; self:starter; attention to details; team player; willingness to travel to meetings with donors in Florida; passionate about Israel and children. Donor database experience a plus.
