The Business Financial Analyst will provide support for a growing premium appliance business. This position assists the Finance Director in various financial activities to support business growth goals and objectives, developing and accomplishing the on-going strategies and activities within the team and ensures the integrity and accuracy of work processes and financials. Candidate must be highly proficient in excel, modelling, working with large data files to build various views and summary reports. Analyze GL and financial statements for trends, issues and corrective actions. Process improvement driven using tools to drive efficiency, standardization, digitization and reduction of manual activity. Ensure the development and implementation of financial policies, standard operating procedures and controls. Create and maintain a forecasting model to drive overall accuracy of planning and forecasting, review and diagnose variances to plan and forecast. Perform routine and complex financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision making.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Detailed analysis of general ledger and financial statements to identify trends and corrective actions.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual business review reporting for internal and corporate distribution.
  • Submission of weekly / monthly corporate financial reporting and updates as required.
  • Identifies process improvements opportunities and standardization of various critical business process across business regions.
  • Performs periodic audits of various processes to ensure controls are in place and identify corrective actions
  • Assists with modeling and analysis for the monthly forecasts and annual business planning process.
  • Assembles data, reporting, and recommendations on ad-hoc analysis requested by Finance, operations and senior management.
  • Performs deep dive analysis on specific projects, analyzes reports looking for trends and issues.
  • Monitor and address any issues related to the financial performance of the business units.
  • Special Projects as needed

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 3+ years related experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent computer skills (Advanced Excel, Powerpoint, Peoplesoft, JDE, Essbase, ReportsNow)
  • Fast learner of Accounting Software and integration for data pulls and uploads
  • Experience with excel modeling and income statement analysis
  • A high level of communications skills (oral and written) are necessary to communicate in an understandable and efficient manner
  • Good organization skills to adhere to strict deadlines and essential information, whether historical or on current issues, can be assessed in a timely manner
  • Good interpersonal skills are necessary, allowing the individual to effectively partner with and become a resource to others in the department as well as to senior operating management
  • A high energy, self-motivated individual who wants to be challenged
Preferred Skills:
  • CPA or other professional designation
  • Lean / Six Sigma training and certification
